Samsung's New IceTouch PMP
Samsung is set to release in mid 2010 their latest innovation called the IceTouch. It is an mp3 player that plays videos and music. On the coolness level it marks pretty high. It comes in both an 8 GB version and a 16 GB version. It comes with Samsung's TouchWiz Sweep UI and also supports multimedia formats including FLAC, MP3HD, DivX/Xvid, H.264 etc. So basically it adds more audio formats than any other player currently on the market. Add to this the IceTouch also has DNSe 3.0 and 5.1-channel sound enhancement technology. So you can hook this up to your home stereo. It even comes with an FM tuner.
But what has people talking is the transparent full color 2 inch AMLED screen. That stands for Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode. The transparent touch screen is the first of it's kind in the world. It's kind of cool because you can see thru it. For instance you can see a reverse image of the front image on the back of the screen. It is also a touch screen allowing your to scroll thru different options from either side of the screen. The player itself is made of tempered glass and all the components are inside the base of the unit covered by an easy to grip rubber handle. Making it pretty much scratch proof. Which is a good thing for me considering how many times I drop my player.
The IceTouch comes in white with customizable skins of pink, blue, purple, and grey. I am sure a market will soon open up offering different types of skins that you can add to make your player unique.
All and all this player is one of the best video and music players with the added coolness feature to make it different from others out there on the market. It will provide you with dvd quality videos and cd quality sound where ever you choose to go.
